The Obama administration is fighting a battle that seems to have no end.  They have plans to step up pressure on mortgage companies to do more to help folks stay in their homes. During the holidays this is a hard time when everything is failing around you and you loose your home on top of it all.

Administration plans new efforts on foreclosures

Treasury spokeswoman Meg Reilly said.  "We are taking additional steps to enhance servicer transparency and accountability,"  Providing lower monthly payments for home owners is primary.  The pressure will be on the mortgage companies and here at Mortex Lending,  Justin and Morgan are ready to help you.

To date, the government has provided financial support with cash incentives for mortgage providers to accept smaller mortgage payments rather than foreclosing on the homes. This has NOT stopped the large amount of foreclosures that continue around us. Rising foreclosures depress home prices. That in turn threatens our economy as it begins to rebuild and recover. Fourteen percent of homeowners that have a mortgage are behind on payments are they are already in foreclosure.  This sets a record, and not a positive one at that.  Foreclosures are not just hitting those zero percent down folks, it is also edging into those home owners that came in with 10-20 percent down and when they bought, they could afford their mortgage.  Now due to economic circumstances, they are no longer able to make their payments.

The market situation has changed since the Obama Administration set up the modification programs in the housing industry. 10.2 percent in unemployment has complicated the recovery in the market.
